On October 4th, 2025, at Hiroshima University (Japan), Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the Distance Learning Bachelor Program for Vietnamese students and the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in Japan.

This event marks an important milestone, affirming TUAF’s continuous efforts to expand access to high-quality higher education through flexible and innovative distance learning modalities.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang – Rector of TUAF, emphasized:

“Distance learning is an inevitable trend in the digital era, helping to expand learning opportunities for everyone, especially Vietnamese people abroad. This program reflects our university’s strong commitment to bringing high-quality knowledge to learners, regardless of space or distance.”

Prof. Shinji Kaneko – Vice President of Hiroshima University, affirmed:

“Today’s event is a clear demonstration of the growing and close cooperation between our two universities. We highly appreciate TUAF’s pioneering efforts in implementing distance education programs and look forward to expanding our collaboration in various fields of training and scientific research.”

The event also symbolizes the long-standing friendship and fruitful partnership between TUAF and Hiroshima University. Over the years, the two institutions have developed numerous collaborative activities in training, research, and faculty–student exchanges.

The launching of this distance learning program once again reaffirms the joint commitment of both universities to enhancing human resource quality and contributing to the sustainable development of both Vietnam and Japan.

The ceremony took place in a warm and respectful atmosphere, with the participation of leaders, lecturers, and students of the program, along with representatives from AUM Vietnam Education Service Joint Stock Company.

The event left a lasting impression and opened a new chapter of collaboration in developing distance learning programs — creating more opportunities for learners to access advanced knowledge and further affirming TUAF’s position in the international higher education community.
