On the side of NPUST (Taiwan), the delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Chin-Lung Chang – President of NPUST, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ru-Chu Shih – Dean of the Office of International Affairs; Prof. Dr. Yi-Hsien Lin – Dean of the College of Agriculture; Prof. Dr. Jik-Chang Leong – Dean of the International College; Prof. Dr. Ming-Tang Chiou – Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine; Prof. Dr. Yu-Shen Liang – Chairman of the Department of Plant Industry; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohsen Gavahian – Faculty Member of the Department of Food Science.
On the side of TUAF, the ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang – Rector of TUAF, Dr. Duong Van Thao – Director of the Department of Science, Technology and External Affairs, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Giang – Vice Director of the Department of Science, Technology and External Affairs, together with representatives from other departments and faculties of the university.
Discussion and MOU Signing
In the morning session, the two universities held a meeting to discuss future directions for cooperation, focusing on key areas such as:
Student, faculty, and researcher exchange programs.
Joint curriculum and training program development.
Collaboration in sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, environmental studies, and rural development.
After an open and productive discussion, both sides proceeded to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a new step forward in strengthening their long-term and sustainable partnership.
The signing ceremony took place in a warm, respectful, and cooperative atmosphere, demonstrating the mutual commitment of both institutions to promoting internationalization in education and scientific research for sustainable development.
Campus Tour in the Afternoon
In the afternoon, the NPUST delegation participated in a campus tour of TUAF. The guests were introduced to the university’s training and research facilities, laboratories, practice areas, library, dormitories, and student learning spaces.
The visit left a strong impression on the delegation about TUAF’s green, friendly, and dynamic learning environment, while also opening up practical opportunities for future cooperation between the two universities.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry and the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan, represents a significant beginning, contributing to the strengthening of friendship, academic collaboration, and international development in agricultural higher education.
This event reaffirms TUAF’s pioneering role in international cooperation, reflecting its vision toward building a modern, globally integrated, and sustainable educational environment.
