LOGO DESIGN CONTEST Project “Learning Center for Zero Emission and Climate Resilience in Northern Viet Nam”

The competition

Competition participants will submit logo designs to represent the Project “Learning Center for Zero Emission and Climate Resilience in Northern Viet Nam”.

The competition opens on 3rd May 2024 at 10:30am and closes on 3rd June 2024 at 11:59pm, Viet Nam local time.

The logo should capture these key messages: Restorative, Regenerative, Resilient, Recycling and Re-thinking. The logo should reflect on our vision of supporting Viet Nam to realize the commitment made by its Government at COP-26, as well as on our mission of providing Vietnamese people with knowledge on climate change adaptation and mitigation and to support a wide range of research, training and awareness raising activities.

Entries may include a tagline which indicates key messages as well as the vision and mission to reflect the Project.

Who is eligible

This contest is open to individuals. Contestants can submit multiple entries, but each entry requires a separate entry form.

Judging panel

The winning logo design will be decided by a board of Judgement from Brot für die Welt, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, ICRAF Viet Nam and the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development.

Announcement of winner

The winning logo design will be announced through:

  • Website and Facebook page of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.
  • Website of the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development.
  • Social media channels of the Project.

When to submit

From 3rd May 2024 at 10:30am to 3rd June 2024 at 11:59pm Vietnam local time (GMT+7).

How to submit

Send your entry to n.minh@cifor-icraf.org with Subject: “LEARN-VN | Logo Contest | Submission” and provide your full name, address, telephone number and email address in the covering email and attach your design (see below for specifications).

Important notes: Only electronic submissions lodged via this email and by the deadline date and time will be accepted.

Requirements for entries

Entry should be submitted as an image in “.JPG” format with resolution equivalent to 3500pixel x 2400pixel and file size less than 2MB or a scan of the sketch of your Logo submission sketch. Each entry should include the logo in three different sizes, all in one page as follows:

  • A colour version with maximum width 1800pixels.
  • A smaller black and white version with maximum width 360pixels, placed on the bottom right of the image.
  • A smaller colour version with maximum width of 360pixels, placed on the bottom right of the image, next to the black and white version.

Entries must bear no signatures or any personal markings.

Prize

  • The designer of the winning logo will receive a 5.000.000 vnd (Five Million Vietnam Dong) plus an invitation (for the winner + 1 guest) to visit the Project Site & Climate Park and participate (with 1 partner) an event organized by the Project in 2025 (all cost covered).
  • The winner will be awarded a certificate and recognized in the Project & its partners’ media channels.

Other Details

  • There will only be one winning entry. There will not be any runners up or other prizes awarded.
  • The logo must be original and must not have received any previous awards.
  • The logo design cannot give rise to any claim for financial compensation.
  • The designer of the winning entry must supply the original artwork for the logo in vector format (e.g., ai or eps file) within one week of being notified of the result.
  • Entries become the property of the Project “Learning Center for Zero Emission and Climate Resilience in Northern Viet Nam” from the date they are submitted and received. The designer waives all copyright in their design. The Project may use the design at its discretion and reserves the right to determine which entries it displays on its social media, website and other media platforms.
  • Any person submitting a logo proposal for the competition certifies that they are the designer. They also certify that the logo does not infringe the rights of any third party and is not in violation of any copyright.
  • The Project reserves the right to amend the winning entry in any way without consulting the designer.
  • By participating in the competition, participants accept all competition rules and agree to be bound by them.
