Attending the meeting from TUAF were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang – Rector, leaders of functional departments, and representatives from the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. From JVMA, the delegation included Dr. Keiji Fusshimi and Dr. Atsushi Fukuda, experts in veterinary medicine, food safety, and animal health.
During the session, the two sides shared an overview of their functions, missions, academic strengths, and veterinary-related training programs. JVMA representatives expressed strong interest in cooperating with TUAF in areas such as:
- Joint development of academic and professional training programmes;
- Academic exchange involving lecturers, students, and veterinary experts.
- Co-implementation of research projects in animal science and veterinary medicine;
- Internship linkage, sharing of academic resources and professional experience;
- Connecting collaboration opportunities between Japanese universities and TUAF.
A key point of discussion during the meeting was the potential establishment of a One Health programme between the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine – TUAF and JVMA. This programme is expected to promote interdisciplinary research, enhance high-quality workforce training, and contribute to solving public health issues through the integration of human, animal, and environmental health.
The working session marked the beginning of a promising collaborative relationship and an important step in TUAF’s internationalization strategy in education and research. Both sides agreed to continue further technical discussions to concretize the proposals and move toward impactful joint projects in the near future.
The meeting took place in an open and engaging atmosphere, reflecting the strong commitment of both institutions to advancing comprehensive international cooperation.
