This year’s SEARCA Governing Board Meeting focused on accelerating regional cooperation, strengthening human capacity-building, and transforming strategic partnerships into tangible outcomes for Southeast Asia’s agricultural sector. The opening ceremony was graced by Her Excellency Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education of Brunei Darussalam, along with ambassadors and high-level representatives from SEAMEO member countries.
Vietnam's Active Contribution to Regional Agricultural Strategy
Serving as Vietnam's Representative on the SEARCA Governing Board, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang joined board members from across the region to evaluate and audit the Center’s financial and operational performance for Fiscal Year 2025–2026. Furthermore, he participated in strategic policy discussions regarding the next phase of SEARCA’s 12th Five-Year Development Plan, centered around the theme Sustainable Transformation of Agricultural Systems through Innovation in Southeast Asia (SUSTAIN SEA).

The active participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang at the 74th SEARCA Governing Board Meeting once again affirms the proactive bridging role of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry in representing Vietnam to promote innovation, sustainable agricultural development, and regional food security.
