The University’s quality assurance policies are built based on the development strategies of the University with the goal of training highly qualified human resources in order to meet the requirements of domestic and international markets. The University pays more attention to the educational quality assurance and considers it as the survival of higher education institutions.
To achieve this goal, The University has established an Educational Quality Assurance Council consisting of members who are the Board of Rectors, Heads of Departments and Heads of Training units. In order to implement the quality assurance, the University has established two systems of educational quality assurance which are at the intuitional level and at the faculty level.
• Intuitional level: the main unit is the Quality Management Department, responsible for:
o Developing guidelines and plans for quality assurance;
o Organizing periodic self-assessments and registering for quality accreditation according to the Ministry of Education and Training's standards and international standards;
o Coordinating with units to implement quality assurance activities;
o Collecting feedback from stakeholders on teaching and training services to propose improvements to training programs and enhance quality.
• Faculty Level: he responsible team includes an Assistant for Testing and Quality Assurance, an Assistant for Academic Affairs, under the management of the Faculty Dean. Responsibilities include:
o Coordinating with the Quality Management Department to implement quality assurance activities in the faculty;
o Approving course outlin syllabus, exam banks, and classroom observations;
o Gathering feedback to review and adjust training programs to ensure alignment with societal needs.
The university has issued regulations to standardize quality assurance activities, including:
- Decision No. 1087/QĐ-KT&ĐBCLGD (August 21, 2017) and No. 1119/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL (December 22, 2022) on internal quality assurance activities at TUAF;
- Decision No. 1087/QĐ-KT&ĐBCLGD and 994/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL, issued in 28/11/2022 on testing and quality assurance activities;
- Decision No. 304/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL issued in April 23, 2021 on the quality assurance handbook;
- Decision No. 39/QĐ-ĐHNL-QCLL issued in January 14, 2021 on the monitoring system at TUAF;
- Decision No. 427/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL issued in May 31, 2022 on comparing educational quality at TUAF;
- Decision No. 1665/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL issued in December 4, 2019 and Decision No. 1070/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL issued in December 20, 2023 on conducting stakeholder surveys for quality assurance activities;
- Decision No. 1403/QĐ-ĐHNL-QLCL issued in October 3, 2019 on evaluating training program quality according to output standards.

In 2017, for the second time in ten years, the university implemented quality accreditation and achieved educational quality standards according to the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations, ranking second nationally (out of 119 higher education institutions evaluated for quality standards by domestic accreditation organizations as of February 2019). In 2023, the university continued to meet educational quality accreditation standards with 96.4% of criteria meeting requirements or higher.
